I wanted to place on record our appreciation for your efforts in selling Quicksilver recently. From your knowledge of your potential customers you quickly matched their needs to Quicksilver, resulting in a very rapid sale which went through very smoothly. It was a pleasure to work with you and we would recommend you to others.
This is to confirm safe receipt of the cheque which arrived yesterday by Recorded Delivery for the sale of our boat Duet – many thanks. When we put the boat up for sale with you on 1 July we certainly did not imagine that a buyer would be found within a week, and the whole transaction completed within a month. It has been a most impressive performance and we also much appreciated the pleasant and professional manner in which the process was conducted. If after all we find we can’t live without a boat of our own, we shall know where to come! Again, many thanks for all your help.
Just a quick email to say how extremely pleased with were with the service you provided in respect of the sale of our narrow boat, Narrow Escape. We will definitely use your services again in the future as you sold our boat so quickly and efficiently. We will also recommend you to friends and family.
I just wanted to drop you a note to say a big thank you to you and your team for your support in helping us purchase our narrow boat. It meant a lot that you spent the time to understand exactly what we were looking for before suggesting any boats. This was refreshing and an experience that we had not received from previously visited brokers. In one way I think the boat you suggested was an easy sell as it was exactly what we were looking for, even though I might eat my words for suggesting a project boat!!! I also want to thank you for the work you did with the negotiations following a worse than expected survey to which I believed that we would have to walk away from the boat. We also very much appreciated the way you kept us up to date during the whole of the purchase, especially the online updates. Although the boat has not yet gone back in the water we have already spent a few enjoyable days “tinkering” on her and know we are going to spend many a happy hour on what will be our pride and joy. I hope when we have done some more work you will take the time to share a coffee (or a beer) with us on board our boat that will be moored at Great Haywood marina.
We’d like to say a big thank you for selling our boat. On our first contact, we spoke to Lindsey, who talked us through the sales process, took details of our boat and then made arrangements for the valuer to contact us. The valuer telephoned and arranged to come and view our boat. He gave us a very honest and frank appraisal of our boat, his valuation was good and we agreed to go ahead. Visiting Great Haywood, we met Ellie who went through all of the sales paperwork, explaining any points where we were not sure. The Client Trust Account gave us reassurance that our money when the boat was sold would be safe. Due to living some way away from our mooring and having little time, you arranged for a lovely couple to move our boat for us. Lindsey brought the couple over to our mooring and we felt at ease straight away, we knew our boat was in safe hands. After only four days, you rang with an acceptable offer and we made another journey to Great Haywood, where we met Brian to deal with the sale paperwork. Brian, like his colleagues, is very professional and went through the sales paperwork, explaining it all to us. The Bank Holiday weekend slowed things a little but our cheque arrived, recorded delivery, on Friday. What an excellent, professional service. We are very impressed and would recommend Great Haywood Boat Sales to anyone who is serious about selling their boat.
Many thanks for the quick sale of Hannah May. I didn’t think selling a boat could be so easy and trouble free. A great job by you all. Thanks again.
At every stage of the process I was nothing but impressed with the service you and the team provided. Everyone I had contact with was so kind, friendly and helpful whilst at the same time being incredibly professional. You and your team’s knowledge of the boat sale market was very evident throughout and the advice and support I received in preparing Canberra to go on the market was invaluable.
Exactly 4 weeks after we had brought her to Great Haywood, and before we had finished the few jobs we had planned to do to get her ready for sale, we had accepted the (second) offer that had been made for her. The survey was carried out and we collected the cheque from you 1 day short of 2 months after she had first arrived with you. At every step along the way, I was kept informed of progress with the sale. Having had her for sale with another boatyard for nearly 9 months previously and without a single offer, I have learnt there is a big difference between businesses that have ‘boats for sale’ and businesses that ‘sell boats’; Great Haywood Boat Sales definitely falls into the second category!
Should I ever be in a position to purchase another boat you will of course be my first port of call and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling a boat.
Karen and I would just like to say a big “thank-you” for finding a buyer for our boat and achieving this with the minimum of delay – to think that in less than three months we have achieved our objective and can now move on to the next phase of lives with the money safely in the Bank! Clearly you appreciate that parting with a boat can be a very emotional experience, and we were grateful that you were able to arrange the boat movements to alternative moorings and the Survey without the need for this to do this personally. Once the decision to ‘say goodbye’ to something has been made … the last thing you need is to have to go back on-board!
A special thanks for taking the photos and for all the help and advice that you have all given – definitely the right choice of Broker and thoroughly recommended! The ‘icing on the cake’ was that you found a new owner who clearly loves the boat as much as we did – this makes the selling process so much easier to deal with!
I would like to thank Leeza from Greathaywood boat sales for taking me through the processes of buying Jax. My first live-a-board boat. Always smiles along the way and we had many a chat about my childhood on my grandfathers boat and the trip planned back to Saul Marina. Leeza was great at following up calls and keeping the process in motion and generally lovely to chat to. I have been living on her since and absolutely loving it. Everyday Jax looks a little bit more homely. Many thanks,
I have recently purchased a fantastic boat from Great Haywood Boat Sales. I am a construction worker, so go all over the UK and had the idea to use a narrow boat as “digs” for 4 nights a week. Not knowing too much, I called in and spoke to the friendly staff, who were very helpful and not pushy, just giving honest opinion about the prospect of living aboard, costs etc.I gave the information some thought and then at a later date, advised them of what sort of thing I was after. I looked at a few boats, there and at other brokers in the Midlands, and was fortunate enough to have Great Haywood contact me as a boat “just in” met my budget, size, expectations etc. The viewing confirmed it was the boat for me, a deal was struck and the process of surveying engaged. The surveyor is one recommended by a number of brokers in the area, and he did a fantastic and thorough job. The sale then completed very quickly. The staff were in continuous communication and at one point even allowed access to me and the other half (Finance Minister) prior to completion on a day off, at short notice. All in all, I am very pleased with the whole experience from Great Haywood and would recommend them. They are very much an estate agent for boats, they can only sell what they have on behalf of owners and are reliant on the original information being provided to them. During “post sale” they been continuingly helpful with requests for information regarding the boat, documentation etc. A first class service.
