From day one the process has gone smoothly right up to the final handover to the new owners.As you know our decision to sell the boat was very difficult and emotionally hard for both of us however, the compassion and understanding shown by you and your team has helped ease that situation.
I thought the publicity did the boat justice and was especially pleased with the number of photos on the website and the standard of the photos, which showed the boat in its best light .The time taken to produce this publicity must have been as much as the time taken to advertise a whole boat so to charge a percentage commission on the sale of a boat share would not be sufficient payment to the broker for the work done. A way round this is for the broker to ask for a donation to charity instead and, as a vendor I was prepared to pay a bit more for the trouble the broker went to, knowing that a charity would benefit.
We like to formally recognise excellent in customer service and Great Haywood Boat sales certainly has that. During the very quick sale of our boat Waterlily we were always kept fully updated and reassured on the progress. Having viewed boats for sale previously at Great Haywood we were aware of the friendliness of the sales staff and the follow up calls to see what we thought. This made putting Waterlily for sale with Great Haywood an easy decision. We would not hesitate to recommend Great Haywood as the best broker out there to sell via. We did have another valuation from a large brokerage that suggested putting our boat on the market at over £5,000 less, needless to say we achieved well over their valuation in our final sale. All in all a very easy and relaxing way to sell a boat.
